Below you will find some of the feedback I have received from current and past students and their parents:
"I am learning guitar with my 12 year old son and we have been under Mike's tuition for about four years. Mike always makes us feel welcome and offers us a lot of flexibility which is great when you are at work. Mike has a patient approach and is both informative and effective.
I believe the lessons are very good value for money and it is something that we both look forward to attending every week and we are really enjoying his tuition. We particularly enjoy how the lessons are structured as we not only learn how to play guitar but musical theory which I think is particularly important. We always find the lessons extremely productive and Mike also ensures a degree of fun.
I would recommend Mike to anyone who wishes to learn how to play guitar and understand music. I believe Mike is particularly good at teaching children (well mine anyway) and this has certainly helped increase the overall confidence of my son." Mark Staley, Worksop
"Mike is a knowledgeable teacher. He can meet the individual needs of students and makes the lessons fun and interesting. I personally enjoy the variety of the lessons, learning theory and improvising. The lessons are very fulfilling and I always look forward to them." Amanda Clark, adult keyboard student, Sheffield
"Excellent to be able to have guitar lessons along with my child and we can learn together at the same pace. We have gone from not reading a note of music to play some well known songs in a few weeks. Mike is extremely flexible in his lessons both with times and dates and with the content and pace of lessons. (When the going gets tough (or my young one tires) Mike is always able to change tack and refresh the lessons with something new." Jon McGregor-Riley, Retford
"The boys both love learning to play their guitars and love coming to their lessons. The lessons have covered all aspects of guitar learning including how to play the instrument, how to tune it, how to maintain it, what the parts of the guitar are called and also how to read music.
The boys have been attending lessons for about nineteen months and have both made good progress. The content of the lesson is varied, which helps to maintain their interest. The music is also varied and fun. Mike also pitches the lessons to take account of the different levels the boys are at. Mike is extremely patient with them and gives constructive comments to each of them to help them improve.
Overall the teaching is excellent!" Mrs C. S. O Donoghue Retford
