I focus on keyboards, piano, guitar and theory, specialising in giving complete beginners and intermediate players a thorough grounding in their instruments. |
Approach
I love starting off adults and children of all ages in the joy of learning an instrument! I am also happy to take more experienced players further in their development. As a founder member (for fourteen years) of the Sheffield swing band 'The Dizzy Club', I have worked as arranger and performer in over fifteen hundred gigs in Britain and beyond, applying my knowledge in a live context. As such I am currently working with several students on keyboard improvisation and the harmonic knowledge of which it is the basis.
